Manual Connections

You can use manual connections to connect two headings that are separated by a distance greater than the automatic connection tolerance.

Note: Connections define the association headings that do not join directly in the design. Connections do not add length to the connected headings.

To create a manual connection, you must first display the Manual connections data grid, by clicking the Manual Connections tab at the bottom of the Automatic connections data grid, and then click the Connect icon. After you have clicked Connect, you can select the Secondary Heading and then the Primary Heading. If you want to mine to a specific point on the Primary Heading before mining starts on the Secondary Heading, when you click the Primary Heading, instead of releasing, drag to the location you want to mine to on the Primary Heading. A prompt appears in the 3D Canvas reminding you of how to complete this process.

After you have created a manual connection in the 3D Canvas, a new row appears in the Manual connections data grid.
